Q: Do you have a restaurant where we can eat?
A: Yes. We offer the Time Out Café, which is located on the 2nd floor. Our food is wonderful “southern homemade cooking.” It is delicious, convenient and inexpensive. Although the café is not open currently for breakfast, we have several breakfast items along with other selections in our vending machines. A toaster and microwave are available, too. The café opens from 11:15 am – 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Q: Where do I go when I first arrive?
A: Patients will check in with the concierge and determine if all necessary paperwork has been completed. If their files are completed they will have a seat until their nurse comes for them. If their files are not complete, they will check with our Registration Desk first to complete their file and then have a seat until their nurse comes for them.

Q: Where do I wait while surgery is going on?
A: Family and friends will wait in the lobby on the first floor. Our concierge will keep them informed as updates are provided. Fairway also offers a 2nd floor lobby area that is extremely quiet and great for reading or relaxing. All family members or guests are allowed in the second floor lobby area. If surgery is rather lengthy, family/friends may leave for a while after they have provided the concierge with a name and telephone number. We also like to know how much of a lead-time is necessary for family to return when we need to contact them that the patient is ready for discharge.

Q: Will I get to see my family before surgery?
A: Yes. The patient will be taken to their admit bay, where they will be prepared for surgery, the anesthesiologist will speak with them, and their nurse will begin their IV and complete some additional paperwork. When all is completed, the concierge is notified to escort the family members (two at a time) to visit them. If more than two are present, we will swap visitors so that everyone will have the opportunity to visit prior to surgery.
